Recently, I've seen these commits on social media:

McLean / VA Union -- Class of 2025 -- commits to UCLA, Florida State, Virginia
TSJ FC Virginia -- Class of 2025 -- commits to UGA, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Syracuse
Arlington -- Class of 2024 -- Bowdoin, Franklin & Marshall -- Class of 2025 -- Vanderbilt

Since the Ivies don't commit early, the other way to find out what level a kid needs to play at is to go onto an Ivy League school's roster and see where the student-athlete played; then check if it was an ECNL or GA team. On the IVY team rosters info is also included about the player's accomplishments, including whether they made ECNL All Conference Team, etc.

VA Union and TSJ FC Virginia seem to have the best track records of college placements for soccer in northern Virginia (a lot of this is about coach connections and longevity). With a little sleuthing between Ivy team rosters and Soccerwire you can find stuff like this:

Yale -- one McLean/VA Union ECNL player, one Maryland United player
Columbia -- two McLean/VA Union ECNL players
Princeton -- one Bethesda ECNL player, one BRYC ECNL player (had one VA Union player last year who was a senior and graduated from Princeton)
Penn -- two TSJ FC Virginia
Brown -- one McLean/VA Union player
Cornell -- one Richmond United, two Maryland United players
Dartmouth -- one Maryland United player, one TSJ Virginia player, three McLean/VA Union players

Harvard's women's soccer team is full of international players. Doesn't look like anyone is from the DMV.

You are missing tons of commits.

This post is from September so obviously there are more now.

I'll bite. Assuming grades and SAT are within range, what is the playing level to play for an Ivy in college for a girl--ECNL/GA?

Did your daughter have to separately apply for the school? Like to play at stanford do you need to have the SATs and grades like all other students? Getting 1500 SAT, 4.4 gpas, etc.? Or some forgiveness on scores if can play soccer? Lot of pressure if not for sure.

My DD has 4.7 GPA. She takes SAT this year. Recruiting Coach asked for her transcripts and told us we would not have any problem getting admitted to the school

Yes they still apply to the school but it is usually done during Early Decision period.

Pick a school your student is interested in and look at the roster. They are all online. Most will list the Club played for in the Bio in addition to high school team accolades.

The schools can drop standards a bit for recruited student athletes, but your student has to do really well to go to a place like Stanford. Also remember they will also be a college student there, competing with students who might be quite a bit smarter. Think about how that might make them feel.

No, I don't know anything about this--that's why I am asking. But thanks for responding, is there any more detailed info out there

You do realize your player doesn’t need to play ECNL to play D3 correct? And I know of players on EDP travel teams plus ODP and Regional teams who will surely play D1.

Is there a rule of thumb that roughly correlates club level of play in the high school years with where someone would likely match in college for girls soccer? For example, if you're named ECNL All Conference, you're probably playing at a Power Five college level? Or if you're starting on a decent ECNL team but not All Conference, maybe you're still playing at a D1 level but smaller conference? Or if you're on an ECNL/GA team but not a starter maybe D3? Obviously it is going to depend on the kid, the schools needs that year and stuff like that but wondering if there is a general guide to all this.
