Recruiting=Wins. Parents want wins makes kids happy and good for IG. More wins increase $$$ revenue at the club that only sells pathways. Lower team enrollment at the U-Little ages increases and more color teams are added, parents think “these guys win they are doing something right” thereby subsidizing the recruiting for the team(s) their kid has no shot of ever play for and it continues.

Are you talking about the VDA side?

No, not specifically. All of the big-name clubs in this industry.

Nick from NVA is one of the best coaches in the area? Please…

DCU across all age groups is 3-3-2 at the Super Cup. If they actually were about development, that would be fine…but they are just a terrible club through-and-through.

These coaches gotta have good teams first. Each have their own mega teams from different years. Makes sense

A lot of top players practice with other teams throughout the year to see if the club/team would want them should they choose to jump. It’s not necessarily the club recruiting. For the big clubs (ECNL/MLSNext), often times, players who are interested come to them. All clubs will take top players any time during the year.

We know of a few small clubs that will approach parents of other teams. The clubs we’ve been with frown upon that behavior (they believe parents should make first contact).
