Does your workplace encourage you to stay at work to eat? Do you have too much work to do and not enough time? Do you have an open work space?

Like your coworker, I have allergies to many different things, and it would be a real pain to go to the bathroom every single time everyday when I had to blow my nose.

It's why I hate open office plans, and love working from home.

No. I quietly blow my nose at my desk. How old are the people grossed out by this? I'm mid-50's and people have had Kleenex boxes on their desks for as long as I've been working. I have seen and heard people blowing their noses at their desks in law firms and corporate offices and not ever thought anything of it.

I have a constant runny nose despite steroid nasal sprays and antihistamines. If I went to the bathroom every time I had to blow my nose I’d be in there all day. So no.

I guess if I were a regular sneezer of 7 times in a row I might consider it...but no. I rarely have to blow my nose. I might leave a quiet meeting or something but it is not out of bounds for open office space.

I have a colleague that sneezes after eating. So, everyday, like clockwork, right after lunch he sneezes like 7 times in a row. And then blows his nose loudly.

This is foul, right? I'm not being picky, right?
