I’m honestly confused as to why this is something you need to get input on. We all notice certain things about other people. What’s the problem?

Op - sorry was just musing and wondered if others also felt like this.

Ha ha! And I'm sure you have a more successful and happy life than others, OP.
Yes, we shorter people are ALL WEAK. And poorer and more miserable.

That's like 99.999999% of them.

This is so weird. I’m 5’0 and it would feel weird to be disconcerted by taller women.

I’m the opposite, OP. I’m 5’3” and take note of women shorter than I am.

Ironically, two of the tallest women I know are Asian and with their tall husbands, have kids like 6’7”.

I'm 5'4" and also drank lots of milk (eyeroll, PP). I've never been bothered by other people's height.

But I do prefer my husband to be approximately my height, because I don't want to lift my head every time I talk to him. And indeed, my husband is 5'6". Our children are short too. It's all fine.

I don't quite understand DCUM's obsession with height, to be honest.

Yes, it's psychological.

Throws you off? I don’t really understand. (All the women in my family—myself, mom, sister, daughter, are 5’9” or above)

That's weird. I find it very disconcerting when women are taller than me, but I'm 5'10" which is objectively very, very tall for a woman. My boss (also female) is 5'11" and it always throws me off, but I think she's the only woman I've regularly interacted with who is taller than me.

At 5'7" I would think you would run into this all the time. There are tons of women who are a little shorter than me.

Though if your social circle is primarily asian, maybe 5'7" Asian is equivalent to 5'10" Caucasian?

I'm 5'4" and experience this often. My closest friend is a six foot tall woman and I find that I feel off-balance around her.
Recently met a guy who is nearly seven feet tall and I felt dizzy when he stood close to me.

This is why I only date people who aren't much taller than I am.

I find it disconcerting when a woman is taller than I am, or at the very least it seems to throw my balance off. For some reason I don't encounter many people in my day to day life taller than I am (5'7" woman) and when I do it throws me off. I also realize that 5'7" woman is not even that tall in the grand scheme of things (although I am Asian and it is pretty tall for an Asian woman). I am of course used to most men being taller than me. Why is that? Is it a psychological thing?
