I think the Mather is the most high end one in the area so if they want that kind of place I’m not aware of anything as luxe as that will be. My parent has looked at the Mather and has a number of friends moving there but my parent is also turned off by the Tysons location although also willing to consider something a little less high end. The people I know planning moves to the Mather are early 80s, mentally still all “there” and in pretty good physical health with perhaps some minor ailments.

My parents were at Greenspring. I’m so glad they moved there.
Pick a place that is close to you. Like 15-20 mins away or less. As they age, you will be going over more and more.

There’s the new Woodleigh Chase being built on Braddock. It’s an Erickson facility.
Brightview is supposed to be nice too.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a continuing care community in Fairfax County for my parents. They are not ready to move now, but would like to put their names on a waiting list. They are looking for something upscale, but don’t like Tysons which is where the new Mather is being built. Any thoughts?
