We tried the glass bottles for a little while, but it seemed to go bad sooo much faster.

I’ve heard fairlife is ethnically very bad and is mean to their cows

Do you know much about the owner of South Mountain?

I remember reading that Trickling Springs was an Amish Ponzi scheme (with Amish victims, the milk was just milk), but not about SMC.

Do you mean Snowville Creamery? They didn't close but I think WF changed distributors.

Definitely tastes different because it’s fresher and eating local grass. I know a family where the dad still drinks plastic carton milk because he can’t adjust the flavor even though the family gets glass bottle milk delivered. People often prefer what they grew up with.

Tell us more, please. I still feel beyond bummed and betrayed that Washington Green Grocer claimed they would just be using SMC as a “delivery partner” going forward when it seems WGG folded.

Glass helps it stay chilled.

Two other good milks:

Coulter Farms - Amish family that sell organic, creamline milk at Silver Spring, Old Town Alexandria farmers markets.

Shenandoah Valley Family Farm, and in that coop Mountain Branch Creamery. Purchased for NOVA delivery through Polyface farm. The cows are A2A2 which is more like an old fashioned breed and the milk is easier on the stomach.

People keep promoting SMC on here but I found it just average

I don’t drink milk, but my child does and he has a very strong preference towards Fairlife milk. We have tried all sorts of organic milk and the glass jug milk sold at Wegmans/whole foods, but he says the Fairlife brand is the best. I thought the glass jug milk would be the best, but he prefers the Fairlife brand.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Started to buy our weekly milk that comes in glass jugs/containers instead of plastic/cartons and it just tastes different

Have you experienced the same?
