There is absolutely nothing in the description that indicates the police think this is a kidnapping case. Stop fear mongering. Your point about the parent's is still true, I hope they are found very soon but it very much sounds like their is information leading them to believe this is a runaway case. And that is by FAR the most likely scenario.

"Latinx is white" is inaccurate, so maybe you need to catch up? Latinx CAN BE white. They can also be black, Native American, Asian (yes, you can be Latino and Asian!), multiracial... They can also just put down Hispanic/Latino and leave "race" blank. You also can't know what race someone is by looking at their picture. Names can sometimes give an indication, but neither of these kids have names that would necessarily suggest they're Latino(a)(x). They may be or they may not be. Either way, it's far more common for teens of any race or ethnicity to run away than to be kidnapped/trafficked.

Yes, a 16 year old girl "who may be traveling with another 16-year-old reported missing more than a week ago" (a boy) is likely a runaway, not a kidnap victim. The parents would still be very worried of course.
