I was a "gifted" kid who had a lot of potentials But undiagnosed ADHD did me in, I did not advance like many of my friends.

I'm reinventing myself in my 40s now that I am aware and medicated. I'm never going to earn big money, but I'm proud of what I do. How old are you, op? Can you figure out what you want and what you need? Also, what does success mean to you?

I am in the 10% who never got off the ground.

Me too and I was the over achiever when younger. My friends don’t care. I am disappointed in myself however.

I have a friend who could have written this because she hasn't prioritized her career in the same way most of us in the group have and she is a downer by nature. But she should know we love her for her many talents, and admire her for where she chooses to put her focus, and we don't care if she works PT or at all.

I am too. My friends and sisters are doing very well on their careers. I took time off so playing catch up. And I probably will never catch up.

It does not matter one bit.

Are you a good person? Treat others the way you want to be treated? Do you try to spread kindness and help others? Those are the things that matter and the best part is if you aren’t actively doing these things, it’s never too late to start.

What are the dynamics?
