Thanks for the tips!

I should have mentioned I can’t eat peanut butter. Apparently PB is a common ingredient for many “easy,” “low-fat/high protein” recipes.

I’m sticking with my protein bar for the rest of the week and I’ll try something new this weekend.

I weighed myself this morning, and I’ve plateaued despite really watching my calories, etc. and exercising. I can’t cut intake any further. Sigh.

Make an egg bake or egg muffins with lots of spinach, peppers, mushrooms, onions, some milk and cheese. Or leave out the cheese to cut more calories. I put some sausage in mine but you could leave that out too or just use a little for taste. Once you make them it's easy to grab one or two and go and eat on the run.

So my honest answer is I skip breakfast. But when I have it, I have 2 hardboiled eggs and (later, not together) a whole wheat toast with peanut butter.

My go-to breakfasts when I commuted were hard boiled eggs, hot oatmeal with fruit, yogurt with fruit.

You lost 6 lbs in a week?! That's insane.

I'm wondering about this too though. My favorite breakfast is toast with cheese. I leave so early that even if I eat at home I'm hungry by 9 AM. What's portable and satisfying?

I gave up my morning drive-thru coffee and donut/muffin/egg sandwich/whatever and I’ve lost 6lbs in just a week or so. I switched to black coffee and a protein bar, but I’m sure the bar isn’t good for me long term.

Healthy lunches and dinners are easier than breakfast on the go. What can I quickly prepare in the morning or ahead of time that is healthy and filling?
