Problem is that we have already committed to a family trip during one week, and I don't think he'll be able to join online every day while we're away. What happens if a kid has to miss a week of synchronous classes? DH and I are both engineers, and there is an older sibling who took the regular school-year version of the class just a couple of years ago and regularly tutors younger students at his high school, so between the three of us I'm comfortable that we could help him with any content. We'll have some time while away for independent work (with our help if needed), and can spend extra time the week before & after, just can't guarantee we'll be able to get online at the designated times during our trip.
Is this at all feasible?
From the descriptions I have read, there are quizzes and tests every day. Not a quiz and a test but plural. There is in person instruction where cameras have to be turned on so that the Teacher can confirm the kid is there. There is 3-4 hours of homework. And you want to do that on vacation?
