I have it and would be interested in reading any new items about it. All I'd ever heard was heightened risk of TIA, which can be mitigated with extra folate.

Can a sperm donor with MTHFR cause an increase of miscarriages? Similar to having it yourself

Is there a risk if only one biological parent has +recessive gene. Do we both need to be + for it to pass on

He is + for recessive conditions

Homocystinuria due to MTHFR deficiency

Plus 3 others. My sema4 came back + for two conditions, not matching this donor.

Can people elaborate on why? We really liked this profile and he doesn't match anything I tested + for. His family medical history was clear also.

We do have a back up but they only have two vials available

Is this safe if I don't have a MTHFR deficiency but the donor sperm does?

We did have him evaluated by our clinic and they signed off but I know a lot has come out about MTHFR mutations recently.
