This is the root of the question. DD doesn’t love Spanish but wants to have an AP class in all five subjects. I’m concerned she won’t be ready jumping from honors Spanish 3.
I agree with your hunch that it is a big jump. Spanish 4 was a big jump from 3. How game would your child be for some tutoring the summer before?

This is the way in most of the country, but you should talk to your Spanish Department chair. There will be many kids who are (a) native speakers and/or (b) who have taken Spanish 4 and 5 prior to AP
