My DC found the 9-day PR course helpful, but admittedly was close to 1500 to begin with.

Agree. There is a registration fee which covers the prep booklet but we didn’t have a package. We just pay the tutors hourly by how much help they need.

Agree. There is a registration fee which covers the prep booklet but we didn’t have a package. We just pay the tutors hourly by how much help they need.

Prep1on1.com has different tutors for English/math, and after a diagnostic, set your child up for only what they need. Highly recommend

We used PrepMatters. We didn’t purchase a package. Have you called them? We just did about 9 or 10 sessions. I’m not sure it was worth the expense. Pros: they have excellent communication Cons: the tutor was much better with math than verbal.

Not sure if this is best here or in the College Forum, but I think here because of locality -
I'm helping my DS explore options for prepping for the SAT. He generally does well on standardized tests and is a good student. We are at a W school in MCPS.
He's like a tutor to just introduce him to the test and its structure, and the tricks, etc. for when you're not sure. It seems to me that all the companies (C2, PrepMatters, etc.) offer these "packages" of hours that include test prep, essay help, app help, etc. We just want tutoring a la carte. Does that exist? And if so, does anyone have recommendations?
We would be ok with different tutors for verbal and math.
