yep.

I am from Connecticut. It's a mediocre school for mediocre students. Many of whom end up on Wall Street.
Note that I didn't say dumb kids. Many of them are intelligent but not hard working.
My best friend's daughter is a current student. She could have done better (full pay; came from a well known boarding school) but she kind of half asses everything. So, Trinity it is.

Thank you for your candid comment.

The Trinity grads I know (whom I like very much, fwiw) very much fit the rich, preppy stereotype. It’s almost comical.

I visited both with DS in the summer.

Trinity has a nice campus and is pretty self-contained, but the surrounding neighborhood is awful. Conn campus looked pretty tired (older buildings), and the surrounding neighborhood is quite run down, but not as awful as Trinity. One nice thing about Conn is the athletic facilities have a nice view of the river, and the college has its own boathouse.

They have roughly similar admit rates and similar students.

I am sure if you looked hard enough you could find an alum at ANY college you find detestable.

I went to HS in Greenwich CT and had not heard of it by the time I left there. I knew about UConn and Connecticut College, obviously Yale, but not this one. Though I've since met people who went there and loved it.

Crappier town, maybe? Easton’s not amazing but it’s got more to offer than Hartford. And Lancaster is genuinely nice.

It's one of the lesser schools of the NESCACs.

A good place for B average rich and private school kids to land.

I think it's a bit more conservative than many other LACs

I’m curious why it seems to fly below the radar when it’s ranked the same as F&M and Lafayette.
