I feel like we were early adopters with a 2017 CX-9. You didn’t see as many then, but we see tons now.

Anyway, it’s a great car! No issues in 6 years, drives like a car with great angles and acceleration, tons of space, and the interior on the higher end trims is every bit as nice as what you get from the luxury brands—with actually better styling in a lot of ways IMHO. (Granted I’m a few years behind and less familiar with the comparison on 22 or 23 models.)

If you like it, go for it. You’ll be happy you did.

We have a CX-5 I love and I see them everywhere. I don’t live in a neighborhood with a lot of Lexuses or BMWs, though!

Ours has 125k on it and still going great (knock on wood). When we talk about replacing it, all I want is another one - maybe blue this time.

I see them everywhere. We almost went for the CX9, but the cargo space was tiny with the third row up. It was by far the most fun yo drive in that class!

It's definitely not a niche brand here, OP. They drive well, but I don't think their parts are that high quality, to be honest. My Toyota lasted a lot longer than my Mazda before we needed parts replaced. But the Mazda is more fun to drive, and the Toyota is dull as ditchwater.

Spot on. Mazda's are SO much more fun to drive, but I think overall quality a bit lower than Toyota/Honda.

I had Mazda3 for 11 years. I had no reason to sell it, but partner thought I'd love a new car. Bought a Honda and I hate it. I wish I had waited one more your til CX-30 came out.

OP again. This is encouraging. Where I live, you see;

Toyota
Honda
Subaru
Mercedes
BMW
Audi
Lexus
A smattering of other makes, but very few.

Want something different that is a little sportier. It's more of a niche brand.

I loved my Mazda 3. It lasted about 14 years and would have gone longer but I was a little neglectful with the maintenance. I now have a CX-5 which I love! I am seeing more cx-30's now a days but not a ton.

My husband and I were just talking about how we see so many Mazdas. Driving home on 495 in VA today we were in a cluster of five literally at the same time.

I started with a Mazda3 in 2008, leased a CX-5 in 2020 that we’ll be buying out at the end, and just got a used 2020 CX-9 this summer. Zero problems with any of them, including my admittedly poorly maintained Mazda3.

We have a CX=5 and we see so many of them.

The other day I was sitting at Pike and Rose after parking and some teen girls were trying to open my car to put their bags in it. I had to open the door to say "wrong car, ladies!" and they moved along to another same color CX-5 across the street. When I left and came back I tried to get into a third same color one on the same block. So many of them!

Mazdas are great, very good ROI.

What happens is that DC is the city of status and prestige, not ROI...

.....how come you see so few on the road? I like the CX-30, but if I buy one concerned about resale value.
