Nakazawa felt like a lot of money for something that was not as good as Sushi Ogawa

Great. Sounds like I was leaning the right way! I’ve been thinking about that meal since we were last there. Can’t wait to go again!

Sushi Taro is standard solid food.

Nakazawa is for something special. We spent almost $1000 on an omakase course for 2 at Nakazawa with sake pairings after tip and taxes. It is $$$$. That was also pre-inflation.

Sushi Taro is good but Nakazawa is a step up.

I’m a sushi lover and am thinking of going to one of these two for their omakase. I went to sushi Taro in pre-pandemic times and thought it was fine. Have not done their omakase. I have been to Sushi Nakazawa and loved it so I’m leaning toward that.

I wouldn’t mind trying Sushi Taro again but don’t want to be disappointed for a special dinner. Curious if anyone has had the omakase at the counter at both lately and which one you enjoyed more.
