Goodness yes. I use Maldon salt now that I'm a fancy adult.

Please don't be sad for the lost opportunities but know that you can do this on all future corn on the cob. It will be hard but eyes forward.

European salted butter, like Kerrigold. My corn is just an excuse to eat this butter.

I don't now, but when I was a kid we always rolled the cob in a stick of butter and salted it before we ate it. Definitely a thing.

I did not realize this was something others did. Is it common? I grew up adding butter but not salt.
