IDK what it is putting him over but it could be something as simple as those stupid bars you eat like RXBars or kind bars which are not actually healthy, like avocados.
Funny my son needed to gain weight (medical reasons) and he was told to cut out bread (except sourdough) and eat avocados and rice daily.
Avocados = bad, who knew.

Bread is empty filler. They probably wanted him to eat more protein, which helps build muscle.
