How can they justify dropping IB at Lewis but not other IB dumpster fires like Annandale and Mount Vernon?

Lewis is no longer an IB school after this year.

You thought incorrectly, though I suspect you’re used to that.

It's former name, Robert E. Lee, was racist.

Equity and its variations are the new flags of trolls, alongside the more overused/obvious "woke." Guess you'll have to expand your vocabulary again.

Rumor is Lewis is dropping IB. Some of the staff have been talking about it.

Our kid seems to be doing just fine comparatively based on official mock IB exams.

That’s good to know.

I don’t see why IB at Lewis would be so different from IB at South Lakes or any other FCPS school. It’s the more intense option there so a child who wants/needs more of a challenge is likely better served doing that than being bored in gen ed.

It's Lewis.
Even if your child doesn't get the full IB diploma, have them take as many IB classes as possible along with honors. If they struggle with one subject, I understand gen ed might be more helpful.

Some of admin does not care about the nonsensical behavior from some students , which can be changed with proper discipline from the school. Remind your child over and over to tune it out.
