Here’s what I do without a gym membership: walk outside or shadow boxing, dance cardio or HIIT on the Peloton app (only $13/month plus lots of other type of classes on it).

Low impact cardio without a gym membership sounds like rowing or swimming to me. I don’t like getting my hair wet on workdays, so I’ve gotten more interested in rowing.

If you are in DC you can swim at any of their aquatic centers for free. You just need to show your ID.

I once hated running too, for decades I hated it. Then I did a Couch to 5k app and I learned my body can do it and enjoy it. It's been a game changer. Try it for a week or two! Nothing to lose and can start today.

Just look at the insane amount of options on youtube:
growingananas
heather robertson
courtney anderson

A lot of really good (and free) stuff.

OP Here - I've been looking at those machines. If I knew I had the space I would go that route. I'm just an introvert and going to the gym has never really worked for me. I'd like to be successful in this so I need to pay attention to how things have gone in the past.

I do take walks with a neighbor most nights, but we haven't gotten back into that since it's really hot and humid. I can't wait for fall...

Walking. Swimming, but that still requires having access to a facility. If you can afford it, an at home bike like a Peloton.

I have an under desk elliptical. It doesn't get my heart rate up enough to qualify as a workout, but I do think it's better to have at least that little bit of movement of my legs when I have a desk job so am basically sedentary 8 hours a day. Even better would be a treadmill desk. Again you're walking so slowly it doesn't really qualify as cardio but I have multiple friends who can get a few miles per day at a 1 or 2mph pace while at their computer.

I stopped running years ago and just walk fast in with incline intervals. Treadmill though.

I need to do more cardio, and I want to, but I HATE running. Can't do it. What else can I do cardio wise (low impact preferred), without a gym membership? Do the under the desk elliptical machines make a difference? I wouldn't have it as my primary cardio source but I'd hope every bit helps.
