Are a academics and diversity your only concerns? I would look at the programs offerings, clubs, sports and so on.

We live on a street in Bethesda that had residents from Scandinavian countries and the Middle East, as well as from Asia. Lots of Americans here work with foreigners from the NIH, the World Bank, the Embassies, etc. No worries, OP!
If you really want more socio-economic diversity but in a nice area, your best bet is BCC in downtown Bethesda.
Blair is a fine school and has a lot to offer. Same with RM. But many people like you have blinders on and cannot see past the test scores.

ok, but OP does care about the racial makeup of the school so why are you posting "we didn't care".
Op can't go wrong with BCC, WJ, RM or Blair - all very good schools with lots of IB/AP choices, and super diverse with tons of clubs.

I have kids in both WJ and RM. RM is incredibly diverse. WJ also feels pretty diverse and there definitely will be middle eastern kids there. I know a few. Plus also Muslim kids from Asia, which I mention only in case your kids are Muslim.

I teach at RM and it is very diverse in every way - culture, religious, academic, economic. It offers both the IB diploma and a large selection of AP courses. Tons of clubs - STEM, arts, writing, etc. Your children would not stand out and would certainly find other middle eastern students there.
