In ACPS, bus info is under Student Information in Power School. It would help if posters said what school district they're in. This forum is for APS, ACPS, LCPS, and PWCS (and others but those are the main ones).

In APS The counselors that work on schedules are 10 month employees, they come back a bit earlier than teachers to work on the master schedule. It doesn’t really make sense to work on it very far in advance because enrollment fluctuates a lot in summer

I think school districts need to be transparent as to why these very cyclical things always seem to be so last minute. For ACPS it's buses and teacher assignments. For some reason they insist on mailing these, instead of emailing, or blowing up every device with parent square, so they are always needlessly delayed by totally normal mail delays.

This drives me nuts too. But today I was at the front office of my local elementary school and three sets of kids came in to register. My school has no idea how many kids will be there on day one and adding just one or two more is the difference between an additional teacher and additional bus route

Is it ridiculous or just me that school starts in a week and we still don't know when and where the bus will be picking up. Don't know classes yet either.
