i believe the rules don't allow you to play for another until May. So if you already committed and you don't like it, it's best to find a non-ecnl team.

Yes, the rules don't allow you to play for another team, so you have to be released from your current team first.

I know some clubs have released players and others have not. It probably depends on the situation.

I don't think it's that hard really. I've seen multiple players join our club from other ECNL clubs and vice versa. We already played against them multiple times and had the video, so probably not much more scouting needed.

Isn't the season about to start? Why move now?

Each club as a point person who will have your kid attend a few practices and then either be offered a sport or told what to work on and come back during tryouts next year. Our club had new girls join each year in past 3 years (now U18/19)

It is difficult. Not sure if you're asking about boys/girls, but most teams have a solid foundation by U15, with less and less turnover as players age. Since the year is starting soonl, the rosters are firm, save for an injury or two. Moving onto a HS-aged ENCL team is a combination of timing, skill, luck, and positional need (and perhaps other factors).

Reach out to the coaches of the teams that you are considering for your player.
