I have found that after our biweekly household come through, it's much easier for me to see what needs deep cleaning. I try to make myself and my kids and spouse tackle at least one deep cleaning task a day or two after the housecleaners leave. But it's not on a clear rotation, just whatever looks like it needs to be done at the moment, such as washing walls, windows, getting detailed with the baseboards and moulding, etc.
For the fridge, i try to wash drawers and shelves any time I notice that they're getting close to empty before the next shopping trip.
We used Virginia Housekeepers. They left the bathrooms spotless and I was impressed that for every open shelf they took everything off the shelf, wiped off all of the items, and put them all back on the shelf. It was a team of 4 for 3 hours for a 3 level townhouse. This was our first professional cleaning so I don't have a lot of comparison though.
Thanks for the GoCleanCo recommendation! I just can't wrap my head around how often things need done so they don't get out of control and pile up.
