Curious if anyone has gotten their assignments yet. Ours says not to expect until late next week.

Our school has an open house Friday afternoon before school starts. Teachers should be in parentvue on Wednesday or Thursday of that week.

They don't finalize the assignments until the teachers are back on the Monday before school starts. There are still enrollments (and un-enrollments happening) and there may still need to be end-of-summer staff shifting. Teachers from the previous year will have had input on who to not have in the same class together, but there is that final review of rosters for any final changes (re-balancing class sizes, etc.) At our elementary, teachers used to fill out Welcome postcards on that first Monday with open house information, and that got mailed early that day at the local post office. People got them Tuesday or Wednesday.

And when you get to the ES open house, take a pic of all the class rosters for your kids' grades. Not just the class they're in - it may change.

Call to find out about the open house. It’s usually the Thurs or Fri before school starts.

You normally get the postcard the day before the open house. It might post on ParentVue earlier.

Most open houses should already be marked in the calendar section of the school website. They are generally Thursday afternoon or Friday morning. It’s like an hour just to drop off school supplies, look around the classroom, meet the teacher, and learn who is in each class.

Late in the week before school starts. Check your school website for the date and time.
