Here's her Ted Talk, which pre-dated the book, and provides a nice summary.

Yes, this is so good. It's very easy to read and hard to put down. I read it in a day. Five stars from me, and I mostly rank books 3-4 stars.

Admittedly, I was frustrated with some of her choices, but she is well spoken and I feel like her getting out ahead (some what) of the story, owning it, and talking about it, was the best way forward. So many women really need to read about recovery from their hidden addictions.

Also, poor Darcy. I feel nothing but compassion for her path. All work and no glory.

Haha… at first I thought this was about Melora Hardin from The Office.

I started this yesterday evening and can't wait to get back to it.

College educated California mom UMC/Private School Mom is arrested for theft to fuel her drug addiction. Goes to prison, turns her life around, becomes best selling ghost writer, and now wrote a memoir on her life. It's very well written. I already know I need to talk about it. It would be great for a book club.

She also co-wrote The Sun Does Shine with Anthony Ray Hinton
