Lacrosse is Maryland's official team sport, a distinction it received in 2004. It is a fast-paced game played with sticks to throw, catch, and scoop a ball into the opponent's goal.

While jousting is the official state sport, lacrosse was designated the official team sport in 2004, and the state is considered a hotbed for the sport, home to numerous college and professional teams, as well as the headquarters of USA Lacrosse."

There are also the sports that are not school-sponsored but still school sports - hockey, crew, ultimate frisbee to name a handful.

That’s not a comprehensive list. There’s Poms, cheer, gymnastics, dive and others. You should be able to find it on your school website. If you can’t, post your school and I’m sure someone will help.

Go to your high school athletics page and then click on each season. It will tell you which sports the school participates in and when.

This is standardized by the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association.

Seems like this would be easy to find on the MCPS athletics website, but I don't see it (and googling didn't help). Does anyone know what sport is offered each season in HS? TIA
