If she were going to go to college somewhere in Virginia anyway, it's a reasonable choice. Why not? Why not for our family though is, college is not for playing sports. It's to advance a career. But that's us.

90% of those here are pretending that they can cash flow college or think that they are getting a full ride.

In state, beautiful campus with good alumni network. Definitely worth considering. Coming out with little to no debt is huge.

Pretty good academics? Questionable.

It's d3. Theres no cheddar offered. Unless you get academic money.

It's also a state school so if you live in VA, might not need too much extra.

If she wasn't playing lacrosse, would she want to be there?

If you have to ask DCUM, the answer is no.

It is worth it if your daughter likes the school, the coach, and the team. Otherwise, move on.

Simply asking the question suggests CNU was not on your DDs list of schools she has been considering, so it’s not as much about CNU being worth it, it’s more about your DD would be choosing a school because of lacrosse. This doesn’t seem like the way to approach recruiting.

This aside, I’ve heard good things about the CNU campus and lacrosse program.
