This is Biden's Chief of Staff. He is carrying out the President's direction here. Sure, he likely had a lot of flexibility in exactly what was said. But people who write him off as "a choad" should realize that this is not some random person ranting. This is direction from the White House.

(Taking no stance whatsoever on the debate over WFH/hybrid/onsite.)

I'm a fed attorney and I had to Google him.

He doesn't make a strong impression honestly. His name comes up way less than most ppl who previously held his role.

Totally agree. The diehards are unreasonable. They say that they’ll walk if they have to RTO, but at our agency there are literally hundreds of applications for every position. DCUM is full of attorneys who want a FinReg gig. There is no shortage of people who will replace the slackers. Let ‘em go!

Why do you think everyone should return to the office? It's a 60-90 minute commute and $10-20 in tolls for my spouse. When they go into the office they refuse to work any extra hours so the employer is losing out as they usually use that commute time to work.
