Also, there are plenty of kids at SJC where the parents are working extra jobs to pay tuition. Yet there are other kids who come from incredibly wealthy families.

Wouldn’t vocational students be interested in a different program of study than that offered at most private schools?

And students living in poverty can be a tough demographic to reach. Even public option schools - which are totally free and often will provide transportation- can’t capture this demographic in equal measure to the public neighborhood schools. It’s just not easy.

All of the top DC privates have rich kids of every color. You’re fine.

I know most of them now have DEI directors but which ones walk the walk and which ones are just doing it for show?
