That’s protocol. There is no more quarantining just because you have contact with someone who tested positive. I got Covid in early 2022 and kept my kids home from school the first day, until the school called and said that it was an unexcused absence and they were supposed to come to school unless they had symptoms!

Obvs a troll. We can all agree that for the vast majority of those who develop covid, nearly all will be fine. However, people can and do die from covid. It is not a cold.

I had a terrible case of Covid last month and I think that’s downright awful to send their kids if they tested positive. My case lasted two full weeks and I felt awful… would never want that for anyone else!
The OP said friend tested positive, not that the kids did, right?
