Pole is great for strength in my experience and super fun. I’ve been to classes at pole pressure and really enjoyed them — the beginner ones weren’t much of a workout for me but sort of a good fun way to get my body moving again. Since you’re post partum you might have weaker abs than you feel you should which will likely be noticeable in pole. Be nice to yourself and ask the teacher for adjustments or conditioning to work on if necessary.

I am losing weight! I’m just over 4 months postpartum and ready for a real workout routine (just been walking and doing yoga). I’ve been interested in pole dancing for a long time - and now I’m finally signed up for an introductory class!

Is there anything I should know? How effective was the workout for you? I have a background in theater and dance so not self-conscious and pretty confident about my abilities, but am very curious about what to expect from those who’ve gone before. TIA!
