Op here. Yes, this is it. They eat almonds and salad and smoothies and refrain from eating actual meals under the guise of health and their daughters tease them about their unhealthy eating habits.

I heard this term for the first time on DCUM a few weeks ago and shortly after heard my teen DD’s disparaging one of their moms as an “almond mom” in the backseat of our car. Thanks for keeping me up on the lingo, DCUM!

Me too OP. I love eating so much but I am dying to be a skinny mom who doesn’t ever think about food - or even repulsed by it! Sigh.
