I'm not this poster, but they are saying that your child can go to two years of community college pretty cheaply. He can then transfer his credits to a 4 year university to get a bachelors or he can stop there with just his associates degree.

If your friend's kid isn't in school, it's not likely because of money....just a lack of creativity.

Honestly your life just isn’t working. It’s time for a big come-to-Jesus and probably relocation to a lower COL area.

Georgia has an amazing program for qualified in-state students to attend for free. Something to consider.

Many kids go to community college for two years and then transfer to a 4 year university for the last two years. OR they stop after two years of community college.

Our family is struggling financially. We have never put aside money for college as we can't break even, leaving paycheck to paycheck, with significant credit card debt. Is our child doomed as in he won't be able to attend college? How much student debt do people in our position incur usually? How much student debt is too much?

We have an acquaintance whose kid is still not in college three years after high school and while it is the only case in our circle, it just scares me.

So my question is really for those who didn't/don't have enough money for the kids to go to college. What are the options available?
