Yea age matters. My TH was built in 2011.

Electric = 70-100
Gas = 10-40
Water = 150 quarterly.

If it is a fee simple townhouse, your trash and recycling would be included in your water bill. If it is an older townhouse with condo ownership, the units may not have separate water meters and water would be included in your condo fee.

Assuming you do budget plans. If you don’t the gas will be lower in spring and fall and summer and electric will be highest in summer. Like you could get a $300+ electric bill in July

Awesome, thank you! This helps greatly.

+1

And you may have a gas bill too.

Good morning!

Would anyone be willing to share what your monthly utilities (gas/electric/water) tend to run, particularly if you're in a 3 bed townhome in Arlington?

Context: I'm going to be moving into a townhome, but I have honestly never seen a utility bill for the whole 13 years I've lived in the DMV. I've always rented in those 60s era buildings that don't have metered utilities, so instead they charge utilities on a fee per unit/occupant basis. (So clearly I'm paying utilities, but it's just baked in to the monthly cost). I'd like to get some sense about what to expect for these.
