I like all kinds but whenever I make it, it’s too crumbly. I don’t like that.

Sweet only. Really don’t want cheese and/or jalapeños in it.

I like both. Sweet with whipped honey butter. Savory with jalapenos in it.

Grew up in TX and we had it with chili. It was savory.

Savory. No sugar, no flour. Sweet is corn cake, not corn bread.

Although the distinction is not South vs North. South Carolinians tend to make sweet cornbread. Savory is found more in GA/AL/TX.

I guess sweet. I don’t think I’ve had a savory cornbread. And I like it cooked in a cast iron skillet.

I make Jiffy with creamed corn and a drizzle of honey. So I guess sweet, but it's not really that sweet.

Both delicious so hard to decide. I want to say Southern because I usually eat if with other savory foods. But stopping to think of how sweet cornbread tastes with savory foods, I don't remember. It also sounds tasty. Never had freah cornbread I didn't like.

Do you prefer Yankee cornbread (sweet), or Southern cornbread (savory)?
