If you go after 1pm most of the camp groups should be gone.

AV Symington Center in Leesburg is a smaller water park— it has a lazy river, a few slides, lily pads.

I didn't think of summer camps when I thought we'd have a mid week advantage. Thanks for the reminder. I wonder if the parks would know if I called if they had big groups reserved.

We're doing a staycation next week and that's one of my kids number one wish after hearing a cousin rave about a lazy river experience at a resort. No resort for us, but hoping to find a lazy river. Also open to trying tubing if there's anywhere fairly safe and not too far from DC.

Take your pick:

Bobby’s Staycation
La Riviera
Pollen & Ice
KewlDownCorral
Flowmation

Went tubing at Harper’s ferry last weekend. It was great.

Yes! So much fun too!

I would do Harper’s ferry instead. The camps make the water parks miserable by bringing Hoard’s of children. It’s a random Tuesday but swamped with kids from multiple camps.

The MLK public pool in Silver Spring has one if you want a local, cheap option at some point. There’s often a line, though.
