1) the time to be heard was at the ballot box. Disrupting the ceremonial electoral count was anti-constitution
2) they wanted to be heard because they were upset about an election that wasn't actually stolen, that didn't have material fraudulent votes cast and the final result didn't go their way.
3) it was clear this was a three pronged attack on our country:
- fake electors scheme
-fake Pence send the votes back to the states or throw the electoral count to the congress
-violent coup

Fortunately none of these worked, but not for lack of trying. There was actually a war room in the Willard Hotel, with the likes of John Eastman and others coordinating all three efforts.

People don't air their grievances with Congress by bearing weapons like guns, knives, bear spray and using flags as spears etc, at least not people with good intentions.

He held up the DC national Guard because he knew they would actually protect and defend the US Capitol. He wanted the US Military involved on the streets of the US because he knew they would defend Trump. He didn't want MPD on the streets, but that is what ended up saving the day. Read the memos please before you continue to spread the lies. They wanted "antifa" (another right wing fabrication) to be involved so as to create confusion on the streets. But if you go back and look, Mayor Bowser spread the word for DC residents and people not involved to stay away. Thank goodness people did stay away, except the ones who were conned into committing felonies on behalf of Trump.

Think about the lies being told over the years:

The Clintons murdered Vince Foster.
The Clintons murdered Seth Rich.
The Republicans are the party of law and order, peace through strength abroad, family values and economic restraint.
Obama was a Muslim.
Obama was not an American.
The Economy under Obama was horrible.
Hillary Clinton passed confidential information on to our enemies via her email server
The economy under Trump was the best (it was the same as Obama's)
Trump is a good Christian.
The Second Amendment is the right for individuals to bear arms of any kind without restraint.
The 2000 Election was stolen.
There were millions of fraudulent ballots cast without any check.

I could go on, but this goes back decades...everything above is a lie. Every.Single.One. Proven over and over and yet, we have just under half of our country believing the above, hook, line and sinker. And that is without getting into things like climate change, vaccinations and abortion - science that has been compleatly bastardized by people who have been corrupting our country for a long time. Look at where the Koch Brothers got their money as an example of how far back this goes.

What 1/6 actually was was a bunch of brainwashed military wannabees following a cult leader into the abyss. Consider Trump being the liar, since there was no proof that the "election was stolen" and consider what the US would do when a legitimate leader of another country was prevented from taking office.

Climate change is real, affecting millions right now and the same old suspects are blocking work on it.

A minority party that’s very good at cheating the system has suspended citizenship for millions of women and has promised that they’ll do the same nationwide. There appears to be no recourse.

People still go bankrupt trying to afford medical care; one petty stands in the way of putting the brakes on medical costs.

But the billionaires are allowed to sit in their multiple mansions, and allowed to run the party that effs us all over.

I would guess that the pp to whom I’m replying is one of the hopeless both sidesers, but I do agree that something about politics and life right now does feel manufactured.
