All the magnets overaccept except Blair. Surprised by how different (i.e. high) the acceptance numbers were for some of the other programs even though several expect a similar incoming class.

Not necessarily…they over offer the number spots knowing not everyone will accept it.
These programs have been around for a long time and they have gotten really good about estimating yield. I have heard of a number of kids who turned down RM for Blair but not one of many kids we know who are wait pooled for RM got off.

I heard of tons of students getting off the waitlist for elementary and for MS but not a single one for HS. DD has a lot of friends on the waitlists for the schools you listed.
