Can you wait until later this year? I was just looking (in the Chicago area) and dealers didn't have them in stock, though the wait was not long - 4-6 weeks. They were asking for MSRP, and I wouldn't expect a great chance of paying much below MSRP until inventory levels are a little higher. I haven't seen the 2024 model year come out yet, and you may also be able to get a discount on a 2023 if you wait until the 2024 models come out.

I actually had a pretty okay response by reaching out to Toyota dealers via emails. Given it’s a sellers market I didn’t think it was going to work but I was able to get a Corolla for my kid at MSRP with no mark-ups. Couldn’t move the needle from that point. They were not too anxious to make a deal.

What does fightingchance.com provide other than MSRP? Can you help explain what the value is.

My family keeps cars forever, so I have only bought one new car as an adult, and that was a number of years ago. I'm at the point where I'm ready to acquire a Honda Odyssey I dislike negotiating, but I'm willing to do it, just trying to figure out the limits. I think it's still a tight car market, right? I know the MSRP, but am curious to know what people are actually paying. I have a good credit score and could either finance or pay cash. I hate debt, but if it gets a lower overall price, I could finance and pay it off quickly. Thanks for any thoughts.
