If you wait a month, pumpkin patches start hiring. And then that turns into christmas tree farms.

For next summer, have them apply to seasonal jobs (camps, pools, country clubs) in January/February. They usually interview in March/April. 15 yr olds probably won’t be hired anywhere in MD (except lifeguarding). Too many restrictions. Plus the summer is half over anyway.

Which specific places?

We tried this and everyone directed us back to the online application process.

Lifeguards are allowed to be 15. Maybe have them do a certification course now to be ready for next summer.

lifeguarding would be a good bet. Many of the college guards start leaving in August And High school guards start fall sports.

There have been a bunch of threads about jobs for teens, but the best chance of getting a job is to apply in person at a locally owned restaurant or shop rather than at a chain. Most of the chains use AI to review applicants, and you can file 100s of applications and not get a single call back.

I think Chik FIL A hires 15 year olds.

NP and please post any suggestions that aren’t seasonal. My 15 yo is willing and wants to continue a job once school starts. He hasn’t gotten any replies to applications filled out online and is about to go in person this week to stores and restaurants.

My twin boys (15 yo) are looking for some employment opportunities? I know its a but late but it never hurts to try. Looking into have them get certified as lifeguards, any pools in DC, Bethesda area still hiring?. Have filled out a few applications for outdoorsy type jobs and some country clubs. Most of the camps have filled their positions. Any recommendations?
