Signed up for less than a year, so not sure what the savings will be but we also don't drive too many miles a year, like PP.

You sign up online, they send you something to install on your car (easy installation), and that's it in terms of things you need to do. It's free to sign up.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize the fee is that much. I just did a quick Google search trying to figure it out. Did you have to install something in your car?

I received an email that when I pay for my next car registration for my EV, I can sign up for the mileage choice program in lieu of paying the Highway use fee. It says this will save you money if you drive less than about 11k miles per year. I generally only drive 4-5k miles per year so I guess in theory could save. But my understanding is you have to install a device that records you miles and sends the info. to a third party, and am I correct the Highway use fee is like $35-45/year?


It seems like a lot of work to maybe save $20 or so, but I wanted to make sure I’m reading this right. Has anyone actually signed up for this program and found it worth it?
