Yeah this is OP and I'm pissed. It was all over a table in Barnes & Noble, like the best thing since sliced bread. I want my money back. It's a cash grab, 100%.

Thanks for the warning! I tend to avoid pop psychology books, sounds like this won’t convert me.

Reading the Beastie Boys Book—which I recommend—made me want to have nothing to do with Rubin.

Ugh, yes. My boss recommended it to me and I tried to read it. I found it painful.

I thought when I started it would be just a thoughtful amble through aspects of creativity by a man who is clearly a genius on many levels, but really it's a deeply patronizing book, written as if for total dummies who've no experience whatsoever with art, literature, architecture, music or any other creative pursuit.
