every cycle they see more than 1000 different HS from all over the country. no way they can "recalculate" everyone GPA.

Best be careful if you intend to rely on special treatment. On two of our summer college tours, AOs have said they do not re-calc GPAs.

I 100% do not assume public schools grade more leniently than private schools. Usually it's the opposite. Public schools kids can actually get a C or a D
