Yep- at Nordstrom. I have a lot of medium thick very frizzy wavey Mediterranean hair. It works great.

I went for Japanese hair straightening in New York which was truly permanent and wonderful for the first few years, but my dermatologist said it is damaging, and I did notice a change in my hair. For the past two years I've gotten Pro Addiction treatments in New York. It's similar to a keratin treatment as it washes out over time, but it hasn't been damaging and does not have formaldehyde. Also it can be done in varying strengths to let one maintain their curls but eliminate the frizz.

Cream Hair Relaxer (lye or no-lye)
Thio Perm (same as a curly perm, but used to straighten hair instead)
Both are permanent straightening treatments. However, cream relaxers are an inexpensive option, but more damaging to the hair than thioglycolate perms.
Some Thio perm brands are: Liscio, Sheseido and L’Oréal X-tenso.

No. I have curly hair myself so I understand the desire. But all the chemical options will a) damage your hair and b) have formaldehyde in them which is terrible for you. I’ve accepted that God gave me difficult hair to keep me humble because if I had perfectly smooth and manageable hair I would truly be insufferable.
