So many people do this. I don't post on social media, but would love to play around with something like face tune and see what I could create. I have been tempted to try that for a holiday card. My friends know we well enough that if they said "You look amazing" I would come clean right away and say "I love facetune!" I don't need envy from people, but for a little boost I would love to look at a photo of myself and not cringe!

I have a friend who is really into working out but to be honest, she doesn’t make progress, which is FINE! But she will post clearly edited photos of herself with sculpted muscles and a six pack all over social media, but then the next day will meet us all at the pool where we can see she clearly has no definition. (Again that’s fine! This isn’t about that!) So why does she do this? It’s bizarre. She’s only lying to herself. She’s not an influencer or anything, her friend base on social media is all people she knows, and sees regularly. What’s her motivation with this?
