I think it’s priced right considering the many ancient dilapidated tear-downs everywhere in Montgomery county that are selling for much more. Bethesda, Potomac are overrated and overprice though. I mean a prison is just down the street from some Potomac houses! But hey, it’s Potomac so let’s just pretend that’s not there right? I’m also not sure why people are so obsessed with big backyards and buying dirt here. It’s cold 8 months out of the year here and most people don’t want to maintain or do anything meaningful with their yards, kids don’t play in the backyards nowadays either. I guess it’s just old school mentality and wanting to show off their yard with dead trees and grass to everyone. I know the schools in this area are good too. Walter Johnson in Bethesda was just in the news for violent beatings and student injuries. So much for good school clusters in Bethesda right? I’ll also say that new houses are hard to come by in this area too. Most homes are close to or over 100 years old and maintenance on those and renovations would cost hundreds of thousands. Then good luck finding a contractor that won’t rob you and would do good work! Also a friendly reminder about good old inflation. A gallon of milk is $12 and things have gone up in price by more than double. You’ve got townhomes in the us neighborhood selling for more per square foot so again I think this is fair as nice as it is.

Love that my house is on this gossip page lol. I have an idea of who is the OP. It’s not expensive at all considering all the old houses right across the street from us sold for over $1.2 million and still require $100k in renovations. We are keeping it as a secondary house and will relist again when Kaiser finishes building right down the road in a few years. Thanks for looking at our listing though. 😁

If you want a new house in MoCo within commutable distance to a metro station or centrally located, you really don't have that much to choose from.

I grew up in that general area -it's a great area but this house is overpriced by $100K. It's across from a WSSC water pumping station, and there is no "there, there". No charm, nothing drawing you to that location unless you want to live next to Leisure World, or next to the ICC and a Park and Ride station which doesn't have near the draw that it used to.

Nice home. Might be overpriced. Is the lot next to this home permanent open space ? If yes, then this home should sell quickly.

$609K in 2015 is a hell of a deal considering the area and it was a new construction. I doubt this is worth a million though but if someone bites, the basement is rental ready.

It's a new house in a new neighborhood, zoned for decent schools. Also half way between Olney and Glenmont Metro and not that far from Rockville.

There aren't many houses on the market right now. Two of the most expensive houses (800-900k) in my 20906 neighborhood with worse school choices went under contract within a week or so.

I don't know about the price but it's a very nice neighborhood.

Why is this house so expensive? It’s on a tiny lot and not one of the popular school clusters.
