I stayed on .25 for a year. Yes I have plateaued but I’m fine with where I am. I lost 55lbs.

Plateau on GLP-1 meds is pretty much guaranteed, it's just a question of when.

I have stayed at .85 mg dose for 9 months and lost almost 40 lbs with 1-2 lbs loss per week. It is clearly working with little side effects but low doses aren't available so I'm injecting into sterile vial and using insulin syringe to deliver the lower dose

Maybe I go up to .5 for the 3rd month, but can I stay there or maybe stay at 1.0 indefinitely?

You won’t be successful in the log run with this attitude. You’re just wasting money.

Eventually your insurance will cut you off and you will pay OOP to eat what you want and make zero changes to your mindset.

I probably misspoke when I said I ate whatever I wanted. That's not accurate. It's more that I could make good decisions about what to eat and not overeat. I enjoyed fruit more this month. A snack of fruit was perfect, whereas in the "old days" (of last month) I never reached for fruit. I ate dinner until I was full, which felt like eating as much as I wanted. But I was full quickly. I had a terrible time with over eating at dinner before this medicine.

NP and same. “Whatever I want” has changed drastically. I don’t want much at all and the medicine helps me make better choices about what I DO eat.

I went up pretty slowly on Ozempic, although did eventually need to go to the 1.0 level. I am in month 5 and have been extending the time between shots to 10-12 days since it still seems to be working well past than the 7 day cycle. I am full pay though, so am maybe more motivated to stretch it out. And am also intentionally losing more slowly now, after a fast initial couple of months.

I’m staying on .25 of Ozempic (same thing) indefinitely with the blessing of my doctor. .5 gives me major side effects and I’m doing great on .25.

I stayed on the 1mg for 2 or 3 months. I just started 1.7mg after around 6-7 months total. I am not feeling the lack of hunger as much as I did initially but I'm still feeling full eating much less than I did before taking it. I've lost around 20 pounds but it has been slow the last couple months. I still need to pay attention to what I'm eating and drinking even a small amount of alcohol still really derails my weight loss.

I felt this way too OP but halfway into my second month it stopped being as helpful. I do think a slower titration could work for a lot of people, though.

Wait, where are you getting the prescription? I haven't been able to find it anywhere!

I've heard this too, but I don't know for sure.

I agree that I felt pretty good on Wegovy .25 for a while, but eventually your body gets used to the low dose medication and the weight loss eventually slows down significantly. The beginning was mega loss and then slowwwwww as I got toward the end of the month at the dosing levels, and the hunger reappears. Maybe it's the body getting used to the dosage??? Anyhoo, I stayed on .25 for a month, .50 for 2 months and then will start on 1mg for a month. I agree that insurance is being very sticky about these drugs with titrating up and % of lbs lost.

If you can get it, of course you can stay. The only people I know who are actually getting their prescriptions filled are on 2.4.
