8% v 11% acceptance rate. Yeah, it's like a remedial NYU.

It's not pretty, and it's very expensive. That said, one of my kids' friends went there and LOVED it. She has a wide range of interests and was able to explore them all, whether academically or through extra curriculars. For kids who like a big, diverse environment, it's very good.

A couple of girls from my HS went to BU and mostly lived in shared houses, row houses from the 1900s-1930s which were solid, big rooms, easy walk / taking the T to classes. Safe areas too.

My son from NOVA was seriously considering. Loves Boston. Not a campus. Ugly buildings.
Honestly, it makes GW look like UVA. Didnt bother him though. Close proximity to Harvard, MIT and NEU. Does look fun. Offered decent merit but couldn't justify the cost. Went with UMD CS instead.

Very much integrated into the city around it, no "campus" as such. But as others have said a nice part of Boston overall for someone looking for that kind of college experience.

the dorms along commonwealth avenue look like something out of Russia during the 50s.

Not a self contained campus. In a nice part of Boston (Back Bay / Fenway).
