Hydro flask has a more bowl shaped jar. I don’t have any personal experience with it.

I’ve looked at a lot of these and there are no-name products. Would you trust their items to be good safe? And most of these have reviews that claim the food isn’t kept hot and the lunch containers broke within a few weeks, etc.

Wouldn’t this still release heat from the hot food but keep it warm - right in the range of bacteria growth or whatever? I know food is not safe to keep at very warm temps for hours. Should be either cold/cool or reasonably hot.

Would something like a small Yeti lunch container keep a stainless bento warm until lunch time?

I have no idea, just asking. I know most insulated lunchbags in the US are marketed to keep things cold with an ice pack. I prefer warm or room temp lunch but don’t know what to use for that beyond the food jars OP describes without resorting to plastic.

Yeah, but if you read the reviews they all says they don’t work. As another person said they released the heat and are just hot.

Separate containers seems easier to transport.

Stainless steel is a conductor… which means you’re probably not going to find an insulated lunch box that I’d actually of stainless construction. It would be hot to the touch and let heat escape.

There are stainless lined lunch containers that keep lunch warm for probably an hour or so. There are also insulated lunchboxes (eg Zojirushi bento) that are made of stainless, but the inner parts that touch food are not stainless.

Then there are tiffin style containers that, again, are not insulated. If you truly want stainless tray, I’d buy stainless bento and put in an insulated cooler type lunch bag to keep warm.

Does such a thing exist? I do a lot of hot lunches in a Thermos funtainer. I am looking for a stainless insulated tray where multiple dishes can be put in compartments and that resembles a plate or tray. Googling has not turned up anything.
